    Dude, everybody's deserting xanga nowadays!
I think my "married woman" blog will be elsewhere, though, so I'll follow y'all in a few months. :)

Crazy. Just when I thought I had xanga under control. What is it about blogspot that is better? (I'm ignorant!)

@goldilocks41 - Well, for two main reasons.  First, I found that the site was "having trouble" frequently...it was getting frustrating.  Second, I really dislike the way they place ads on your site.  Of course they have the right to do it, but some of the ads are obnoxious and some are offensive.  I will never forget some of the ads they put on Rachel's Knox Memories site...it was really awful.

@MrsBeorn - I totally understand about the ads. That is frustrating and to get them removed costs $25.00! I paid it, but wish now I wouldn't have. The reason why I did is because I know so many people of xanga. I hate to leave. Is Wordpress free?

@goldilocks41 - Wordpress is free.  I have 3 blogs over there now: my knitting blog, the family one now, and I went ahead and claimed a name/blog for my little knitting business.  You can manage them all from one dashboard.  I really like it.  My experience with the knitting blog (since October) really sold me.  I plan on keeping up with my Xanga friends with a feed reader.  I use Mozilla's Thunderbird, which is also free, and very easy to use.  It automatically checks the blogs to which I have subscribed and lets me know when there are new entries.
